FigureNerd is a free calculator and educational tool published by Hadassah Enterprises Incorporated. We operate figurenerd.com. If you have questions about this policy, use the contact form. We do not publish a phone number or direct email address publicly.
You do not need to create an account, provide your name, or log in to use any FigureNerd calculator. Calculator inputs and results are never required to include personal information.
We collect an email address only when you choose to give us one: signing up for the monthly new-calculators newsletter, or submitting a tool request (email optional on that form). Here is what happens with it:
Standard server and network logs are collected automatically by Cloudflare Pages, our hosting provider. These logs may include your IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, and page request timestamp. This data is processed under Cloudflare's privacy policy and is used for performance, reliability, and security purposes. We do not independently store or sell this log data.
FigureNerd works with a handful of third-party services to serve ads, measure traffic, and power the site's sharing and recommendation features. Here is what loads on our pages, grouped by purpose, what each one may store or receive, and where to read that provider's own policy.
FigureNerd's pages load Google's advertising stack: Google Tag Manager, Google AdSense (which displays ads served by Google, delivered through googlesyndication.com and DoubleClick), Google's ad-traffic-quality checks (adtrafficquality.google), which verify that ad impressions are not fraudulent, and Google reCAPTCHA (google.com/recaptcha), a bot-detection and abuse-prevention service. These may set cookies and other identifiers, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, and send requests to Google's ad and security services when you visit, even before any ad visibly renders. Once ads are live, Google and its partners may use this activity to show you ads based on your browsing history on this site and others. Our pages also load Unified ID 2.0 (uidapi.com), an advertising identity-resolution service used by ad exchanges, including Mediavine's, to recognize a visitor across sites without relying on third-party cookies; it may generate or read a browser-tied identifier for that purpose.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at optout.networkadvertising.org. You may opt out of Unified ID 2.0 through its administrator's Transparency and Control Portal.
The floating heart and share icons on FigureNerd pages come from Mediavine Grow (grow.me and app.grow.me), which lets you save calculators as favorites and share pages, and also powers the related-content recommendations you may see, served through Mediavine's Recombee-based recommendation engine (recombee.com). Loading Grow sets a Snowplow-based analytics identifier in your browser's local storage, under the key growMeSnowplowUserInfo, containing a randomly generated visitor ID, a session ID, and a visit count, and Grow's Snowplow collector (growplow.events) receives that activity. If you use the save or favorites feature, Grow may also store sign-in tokens (grow-faves accessToken and grow-faves refreshToken) so your saved items are still there on a later visit. This data is governed by Mediavine's own documentation at their Legal and Privacy Center. Grow supports FigureNerd's Mediavine ad partnership, but you can clear these values at any time through your browser's site data settings.
FigureNerd uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized page-view data including pages visited, session duration, and approximate geographic region. No personally identifiable information is transmitted. Google Analytics data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Cloudflare provides hosting, DDoS protection, and performance monitoring for figurenerd.com, including Cloudflare Insights, its real-user-monitoring analytics that measures page load performance. Cloudflare may set cookies and use similar technologies as part of this infrastructure. These are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
FigureNerd loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), which may receive your IP address and browser information as part of serving the font files. This is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Some calculator result pages load Chart.js, an open-source charting library used to draw the graphs shown in those results, from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net), a public content delivery network for JavaScript packages. jsDelivr receives your IP address and browser user-agent as part of serving that file, the same as any request to a third-party server; it does not receive your calculator inputs or any information you type into the site. This is governed by jsDelivr's privacy policy.
FigureNerd stores your dark mode preference in your browser's local storage under the key figurenerd-theme. This setting stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Many calculators also save the numbers you enter (income, project costs, and similar inputs) to your browser's local storage, so your work is still there if you come back later. This works the same way as the theme preference: it saves in YOUR browser, on your device, not on our servers, and we never see or collect it. You can clear it at any time using the "Clear saved inputs" option on the calculator, or by clearing your browser's site data.
FigureNerd is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through this site, please contact us via the contact form and we will take steps to remove that information.
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to access personal data held about you, the right to request deletion of that data, and the right to opt out of personalized advertising. If you gave us an email address (newsletter or tool request), contact us via the contact form or the postal address in Section 2 to access or delete it. For data handled by third-party services (Google AdSense, Mediavine Grow, Cloudflare), contact those providers directly to exercise GDPR rights.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. FigureNerd does not sell personal information, including any email address you give us. If you gave us an email address, contact us via the contact form or the postal address in Section 2 to exercise your deletion rights. To exercise your CCPA rights regarding third-party advertising data (Google AdSense), use the opt-out link in Section 3 above.
FigureNerd honors browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals where technically feasible. Note that third-party ad-serving networks (Google AdSense) have their own DNT policies. To limit ad tracking fully, use the opt-out tools in Section 3.
FigureNerd calculators and guide articles may link to third-party sources including IRS.gov, EPA.gov, ASHRAE standards pages, government databases, and methodology references. These external sites are not operated by us. Their privacy practices govern any data collected when you visit them. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of figurenerd.com after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
